They are not exactly written in textbooks, but very often they can be heard in a conversation between investors and traders.
Bayizedype (eng. BUY THE DIP — «Buy Dips») — buying shares on drawing (that is, when they have fallen in cheaper).
Chainsaw (saw) — extremely strong price fluctuations in the day.
Concrete slab, or just a stove — a very large application in stock-grade glass, able to influence the movement of quotations. Also called the plank.
Side Side (Flat) — Movement of quotations in a narrow range for a certain period without a significant increase or lower price.
Diva — Dividends: Payments that are distributed among shareholders in accordance with the dividend policy of the Company.
DivGEP — a sharp drop in the cost of papers after the closure of the register of shareholders to pay dividends.
Uncle Kolya (Nikolai, Kolyan) — Martin-Call. When he «comes» or «calls», it is bad — it means that the investor has such a long loss that the broker notifies it about the need to replenish the bill for further retention of the position.
Zombies — Prebankor Company. Its shares, however, is on the stock exchange — and often in demand in view of wild volatility.
Cheat — traders who aggressively buy assets in large quantities in anticipation of the upward trend.
Casino — usually means volatile and low-consumable paper of the second-third echelon. Such shares are also called «rams». Whether they will go down or up nobody understands.
Cutlet — all the money on the brokerage account. Purchate to the whole kitlet — to invest in something on all the money, ignoring common sense. It is very dangerous to do it.
Cooking (CUCON) — Markemaker, professional market participant, which forms it and supports its liquidity.
Lestenka — a strategy for buying assets, in which the papers are acquired in a portfolio of little by following ascending trend.
Longist — an investor who buys shares in Long — that is, for the long term, based on the growth of quotations.
Ludoman — buy stocks for good luck without any analysis. Typical example — buying papers for a report or just on the advice of «friends»
Elk — the most unloved investors animal, which once meets each. Means an action loss. Accordingly, cut the moose = fix the loss.
Rebound — drop after growth or height after falling prices.
Mead — artificially overshadow or underestimate the price of paper, pushing private investors to trade to move quotes in the right direction.
Papire is the same as the action.
Taming — the price movement is above a certain level.
Strait — collapse quotes due to the mass sales of papers.
Rocket is a sharp increase in price in a short period of time or simply an action from which strong growth is waiting.
Sitting on the fence is the situation in which the trader closed all positions, sits in a cache and watches what is happening on the market from the side.
Silent — S & P 500, the main stock index of the United States.
Scale — to quickly buy and sell shares within the day, trying to make money on small fluctuations in prices.
Drain — getting rid of assets. Usually accumulates, but the most talented way to drain the deposit.
Tuzumen (from the English. To the moon — «on the moon») — implies the most powerful growth of any asset, «right to the moon».
Averaged — to buy a stock in the portfolio in the price. Used to reduce the average cost of paper in the portfolio.
High — maximum prices. Isthai is a historical maximum. Buy on the nuts — to buy paper at the peak.
Hamster (Lemming) — a newcomer in investments, rushing to buy shares on the recommendations of numerous «Guru», following the crowd, panic or simply on emotions.
Short — short position. The one who opened it is shortist. Wash shorts = open a short position.
